OUR MISSION
The Old East Dallas Early Childhood PTA strives to
enrich the lives of neighborhood children by encouraging friendships
among families and providing support to Lipscomb Elementary School.

EVENTS
ACTIVITIES
General
Meetings.
Occur in September, February, and April. Come enjoy interesting
speakers and learn about local resources. This is an excellent place
to meet other members and enjoy a cup of coffee and a little
socializing. We welcome non-walking babies and childcare is
available for our active ones.
NEXT MEETING 9/23 at 7PM at Lipscomb Elementary Auditorium
Coach Patty Hannan, developer of Play Wisely, speaker
Fun and
Support
Moms' Night Out. Take a break with "just the girls" and
participate in fun & local evening activities.
Kids' Events. Bring the kids to activities and events geared
especially for them.
Playgroups. Get together regularly with other Moms
with kids in the same age group. A great way for you and your child
to make new friends.

Meals for
Moms. Meals
are provided for new mothers and others who may be in need of some
help.
Babysitting Co-op. Members babysit for each other to
‘bank’ babysitting credits that they can use to get other OEDECPTA
parents to babysit for them.
Member
Directory. Published annually, our yearbook/directory makes it easy to
keep in touch with other families in the neighborhood.
MEMBERSHIP INFO
Playgroups, Babysitting co-op, and other activities
will run throughout the year. Please see next page. IF YOU JOIN NOW, YOUR MEMBERSHIP
WILL BE GOOD THROUGH SUMMER 2010. Membership fees for 2009-2010
are $15 for the first parent/grandparent/PTA supporter, and $5 for
the second related member.
Whether you have preschool age children or
grandchildren, are expecting your first baby soon, or just want to
support the neighborhood early childhood PTA, the OEDECPTA welcomes
you!
