With Spring just around the corner, though, there is a feeling of refreshment and renewal on the air. My daffodils have already come and gone, and leaves are unfurling from the trees. The Lipscomb Silent Auction was on February 2nd at Texas Discovery Gardens, and I know many families are enjoying the spoils of that event. Valentine's came and went - we had a couple of fun activities, between Galentine's Night Out and our Library Craft Party - and Easter is JUST around the corner. Oh, did we forget St. Patty's? Yeesh! How COULD we? OED doesn't have any activities planned for St. Patty's, but I'm sure we'll see some of you along Greenville, whether bar-hopping or dashing in the 5k!
This Easter we continue the tradition of hosting a neighborhood EGG HUNT!! So tell your friends and neighbors ALL about it! We look forward to some brunch munchies and coffee for those of us who have this adulting thing down, and while we munch, our kiddos can go crazy over treasures hidden around the park! Check out our Resources Page to view the March newsletter, where details for the egg hunt can be found in the lower right corner. You don't want to miss it!
We hope you all have a fantastic Spring Break this week. Big plans? Our family already indulged in a ski trip in February, but the Dallas Zoo is in our plans. It looks like it will be stormy Monday through Wednesday, so hunker down with books, build forts, give piggie-back rides, and pop some popcorn with a movie! Send out a Facebook message to the group if you want to meet up at the park on one of the nicer days.
Happy Spring, friends.
